Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 21, 2026 - Last updated: October 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how LinkMaster LLC, doing business as Smaharba Press (“Smaharba Press,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit standardsovermoods.com, buy the digital edition of Standards Over Moods, or contact us.
We collect only what we need to sell you the Book, deliver it, and support you. We do not sell your information, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not use analytics cookies on this website.
1. Who we are
- Legal entity
- LinkMaster LLC, doing business as Smaharba Press
- Owner
- Aristide Abrahams
- Registered address
- 29035 5 Mile Rd., Livonia, MI 48154, United States
- Privacy contact
- privacy@standardsovermoods.com
We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
2. What we collect
2.1 When you buy the Book
- Order data: your name, email address, billing country and postal code, what you bought, the amount, and the date.
- Payment data: handled by Stripe. Your full card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe tells us whether the payment succeeded.
- Marketing choice: whether you opted in to hear about future books and announcements, with the date of that choice. It is unchecked by default.
2.2 Your personalized copy
To license your copy to you, we print your name and email address inside your PDF and EPUB files as a license notice. Anyone you give the files to will be able to see them.
2.3 Delivery and emails
- Download activity: when your download link is used, and whether it has expired.
- Email delivery and opens: our order and follow-up emails contain a small image that tells us whether the email was opened. We use this only to confirm delivery and to know if we should resend your link. Many email apps block or pre-load these images, so we treat it as a rough signal.
2.4 When you contact us
- Support requests: your name, email, and what you write to us.
- Reminders: if you ask us to email you a reminder from the thank-you page, your email address and when to send it.
2.5 Collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers record basic technical data with each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. We use it for security, to prevent abuse (for example, rate-limiting reminder requests), and to fix problems. We do not use it to build profiles.
3. How we use it
- Process your order and deliver your files.
- Personalize your copy with its license notice.
- Send transactional emails: your receipt, download link, and replies to support.
- Send marketing emails only if you opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- Issue refunds and handle payment questions.
- Prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the site secure.
- Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
4. Legal bases (EU, UK, and similar laws)
- Contract: to sell, deliver, and support your purchase.
- Legal obligation: to keep tax and accounting records.
- Consent: for marketing emails. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the site, prevent fraud, protect our copyright, and confirm email delivery.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with these service providers, and only as needed to run the store:
- Stripe, Inc.: payment processing and, as merchant of record, tax calculation and collection (stripe.com/privacy).
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, storage, database, and email delivery (Amazon SES).
- bunny.net: streams the author’s video on the thank-you page. When the video loads, bunny.net receives your IP address and browser details.
- PDCAtracker (pdcatracker.com): only if you use the reader offer. The offer link carries your order number and email address so PDCAtracker can confirm you bought the Book and apply your trial. PDCAtracker is owned by the same owner and has its own Privacy Policy.
- Professional advisors (accountants, lawyers), under confidentiality.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights.
- A successor, if the business is sold or merged. We will notify you.
6. Cookies
This website does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner. The checkout page is hosted by Stripe, which uses its own cookies for payment security and fraud prevention. Our staff admin area uses a single login cookie that does not apply to customers.
7. Where your data is stored
We store and process your information in the United States. If you are outside the United States, your information is transferred there. Where the law requires it, we protect those transfers with contractual safeguards with our providers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep it
- Order and tax records: 7 years, as required by tax law.
- Your personalized files: deleted from our servers within 30 days of delivery. Your order record remains, so we can send you a fresh copy if you need one.
- Marketing consent records: 3 years from your last interaction, or until you unsubscribe and the record is no longer needed.
- Support requests: 2 years after they are resolved.
- Server logs: kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.
- Database backups: rolling 7-day cycle, then overwritten.
9. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you can unsubscribe from marketing at any time. Email privacy@standardsovermoods.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. We may keep records we are legally required to keep, such as tax records.
9.1 European Union, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
You also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
9.2 Canada
Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial law, you may access and correct your information and withdraw consent, and you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca). The person accountable for our compliance is Aristide Abrahams, reachable at privacy@standardsovermoods.com.
9.3 California and other US states
You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to non-discrimination. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
10. How we protect it
- HTTPS encryption for every page.
- Encryption at rest for our database and backups.
- Download links that are unique to you and expire.
- Access to customer data limited to the people who need it, behind a password-protected admin login.
No system is 100% secure. If a breach creates a real risk of harm to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
11. Children
Purchases are for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact privacy@standardsovermoods.com and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links
This website and the Book link to other sites, such as Skool, Amazon, and PDCAtracker. Their own privacy policies apply there.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will email customers whose information is affected.
